Strategic HR management partner SAIMA Group is aiming at profitable growth and internationalisation now that it is under a new ownership basis. A fund managed by Finnish private equity investor Canelco Capital has made an investment in SAIMA Group and will support the development of the company by providing increased resources and sound experience.

"We have been able to grow the company to the current annual net sales level of EUR 6 million with the help of fresh ideas and persistence. The resources and experience provided by Canelco Capital will considerably accelerate the internationalization and profitable growth that we are seeking through selected business concepts and areas", states Marjo Kaipainen, managing director and founder of SAIMA Group.

The role of Canelco is to outline the big picture for the future of SAIMA and develop the story of its future growth together with operative management. We believe in the internationalisation of the company and estimate that it will triple sales over the next couple of years", says Pekka Hietala, investment director of Canelco Capital, who has been appointed chairman of the board of SAIMA Group.

Finding tested professionals for different needs - even from abroad

SAIMA offers specialist recruitment services that enable clients to recruit employees for both shorter and longer periods. SAIMA finds suitable professionals matching the client's specific needs, which means that the client company always gets the best possible domestic or foreign employees for the period concerned. The company recently recruited the first Chinese professionals to work for Finnish clients operating in the engineering industry.

With SAIMA's Internet-based HR management software, clients are able to handle all HR management functions, from recruitment to termination of employment, following them in real time and reacting as needed. Companies can acquire the software by taking advantage of SAIMA's Application Service Provisioning (ASP) deal, i.e. by paying only a monthly rental fee.

SAIMA has five offices in Finland, in the cities of Mikkeli, Helsinki, Vantaa, Tampere and Oulu, and one in Gdansk, in Poland. The company has also started operations in China.
